
Keontay S. Vaughn was born and
raised in New York, during her formative years, she fell in love with the art
of writing and participated in any extracurricular activity that involved her
new found love.
In 1994, her family relocated to Virginia, during her time there,
Keontay passed the days by writing poetry and short fictional stories. In
1996, they relocated once again to the city of Atlanta.
Keontay attended Ronald E. McNair Sr. High School, where she
continued with her writing and even began perfecting her craft by continually
writing poetry, short stories, and skits. As a sophomore, Keontay joined
the high school newspaper staff and quickly became the poetry editor of Ronald
E. McNair's school newspaper, The Challenger.
Keontay began her studies at the
HBCU, Morris Brown College in Atlanta, GA in the Fall of 2001, but eventually
transferred to Georgia Perimeter College where she earned an Associates of
Science in both Psychology and Criminal Justice. When not writing, Keontay is actively
pursing her Bachelors Degree in Psychology and spending as much time as
possible with her daughter, friends, and family.
